Overall, Dodge packed quite some changes into its 2019 Charger from previous years. So what's new for this 2019 full sized sedan? Quite a bit! In fact, here are some quick highlights you won't want to overlook:
First of all, Dodge now offers you two brand new trims: the SXT AWD model and the GT RWD trim. Overall, both come with a speedy 3.6 V6 motor that pushes 300 horsepower. And who says muscle cars aren't fuel efficient? This powerful engine pushes 36 highway mpg. So you won't spend too much time or money at the gas pumps.
As far as other changes go, the R/T Scat Pack and Hellcat receive an all-new grille alongside some new drive mechanics. And lastly, don't forget to check out the new Triple Nickel colour!
Meet the 2019 Dodge Charger and all its Trims
As you'd expect, the 2019 Dodge Charger comes with quite a few different trim options. And yes, each trim received quite some upgrades as well. Here's what you won't want to overlook in each.
SRT Hellcat
First things first. You can't mention the Hellcat without looking under the hood. Then, you'll immediately notice that race car-tier 6.2-litre HEMI V8 engine. It's more than capable of pumping out 707 hp and 650 lb-ft torque. In practical terms, it'll rush from 0-96 km/h in about 3.4 seconds. Which, it's certainly not afraid to flex that muscled motor!
As far as new features go, you'll get an After-Run Chiller and Torque Reserve to help you optimize power. When sitting inside, you'll also get a look at the fierce roaring Hellcat logo on the instrument panel. And it definitely looks sexy with the Alcantara interior package. While you're at it, there's also an option for some 20-inch forged wheels. Overall, if you're looking for power, this is still the best trim for you.
Scat Pack 392
Another fast and powerful model from the charger. Here you'll get a naturally aspirated 6.4-litre HEMI V8 with a massive 485 horsepower. And to help you control all this power, you'll now get a launch assist and line lock. If that's not enough, don't forget to take a look at the cool new grille that it now shares with the Hellcat.
R/T
Mix some comfort with speed in this model. Starting off, you'll get a more than capable 370 horsepower 5.7-litre HEMI V8. But on the inside, you'll also get a fun 8.4-inch Uconnect Touchscreen for making your drives all the more fun. You can even opt for the Cold weather package to combat those upcoming brisk autumn mornings.
SXT
The base trim now comes with an AWD option. You'll also receive some impressive performance with its 3.6-litre V6 that pushes 292 hp (same from the epic 2017 model). And you can't forget that it comes with all the safety features you'll ever need. Everything from backup cameras, cruise control, and rear parking assist are now available here. You can even opt for the Cold Weather Package if you're looking to add some heat to your steering wheel and seats. Plus, stylish and bold houndstooth cloth seats are also an option here. And if you want a Black Noise wheel, you can now get that with the Blacktop package option.
GT
This time around, the GT comes with some improved aero. So you'll get everything from a spoiler to an improved performance hood, fascia, and side sills. You'll even get paddle shifters for a smoother and easier drive as well. Inside, you'll get a Uconnect touchscreen complete with Dodge Pages. And seeing how this trim can easily reach 209 km/h, it's also packing quite the performance as well!
