Dodge Embraces Color

The colours of cars are often quite indicative of their era in which they were produced. Back in 1970, when the "far out" styling of the 1960's had moved from the counter-culture to Main Street, you could buy a Dodge in high impact paint colours with names like Plum Crazy, Sublime, Go Mango, Panther Pink, and Top Banana. Many of us at Caledon Chrysler would love to drive a 1970 Dodge Challenger in Green Go, who wouldn't? However, since that is a hard vehicle to come by, we are excited to announce the availability of the next best thing. That's right, all of us will be able to own a 2017 Dodge Challenger in that same fun colour! For 2017, Dodge is bringing back, as well as introducing, a whole rainbow of new and classic exterior colours. These bold visuals will be available on a number of the models in the Dodge lineup and we absolutely believe that they will be turning heads all over the Greater Toronto Area. We thought it would be a good idea to take a closer look at both the colours and the Dodge vehicles that should shake up 2017.

The 2017 Dodge Challenger

As we mentioned before, the Dodge current colour revolution got its start with the 1970 Dodge lineup, and especially the Challenger. The 2017 Dodge Challenger, which will be produced in Windsor, ON, might go down as one of the most impressive muscle cars of the past decade. The 2017 Dodge Challenger should be available in eight trim levels and come equipped with one of three engines including the monster 6.4-liter HEMI V-8 that produces an impressive 485 horsepower and 475 lb.-ft. You will also get a standard Uconnect 8.4 system that features Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as tons of interior leather and reportedly, even a Houndstooth material on the front seats.

2017 Dodge Charger
The fantastic and intense 2017 Dodge Charger will be available in rear and all-wheel drive and come with five engine choices, the most impressive of which is the already popular, 6.2-liter V8 HEMI Supercharged engine that kicks out an over-the-top 707 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque. The way we look at it, if you are going to drive a car that is painted Bruiser Gray or Redline 3K, it needs to have the power and performance to back it up!

2017 Dodge Grand Caravan
One of the best parts of this burst of colour from Dodge is that they are offering it in their more practically vehicles as well. Powered by a 3.6-liter V6 engine and loaded with standard protective features like the post-collision safety system, the 2017 Dodge Grand Caravan minivan will allow you to transport up to seven passengers and look like a boss.

The Colours
We've danced around it, but now it's time to reveal the real stars of this story: the bold and memorable exterior colours found on most of these models. On top of the reintroduced Green Go, Yellow Jacket, Plum Crazy, Sublime, and Go Mango you can also look forward to colours with names like: Redline 2K, Blu By You, Stout Brown, White Knuckle, Redline 3K, Maximum Steel Metallic, Bomber Brown, Vice White, Octane Red, Yellow Jacket, Granite, White Noise, TorRed, Olive Green Billet, Blood Orange, Green Go, Black Onyx, Destroyer Gray, DB Black, Confusion Blue, Bruiser Gray, and Pitch Black.

If you are curious to see what the new 2017 colours from Dodge look like in person, we suggest you drop by Caledon Chrysler. They will all be here soon, so make an appointment at our Bolton, ON dealership to test-drive a 2017 Dodge today!
