Dodge Caravan Kids Program
Posted on August 12, 2020
We may not all love the same cars, TV shows, or food, but most Canadians can agree on one thing: hockey is just the best. The speed, the action, the rivalries, the sportsmanship, and most of all the fun, make it Canada's national sport. At Caledon Chrysler, we are all massive hockey fans, so we are quite proud of taking part in this year's Dodge Caravan Kids program. This fantastic youth hockey program is a joint effort between participating minor hockey associations and Chrysler, Dodge, Fiat, Jeep and RAM retailers. It provides funding -- up to $500 per team - and other benefits to local novice-level teams.
For those who aren't familiar with the Novice Level hockey program, it is meant for children use are under the age of nine as of December 31st of the current season. The stated goals are:
- Fun
- Reviewing of basic skills
- Refining basic skills
Practice time is split into 75% technical skills 5% individual tactics, and 10% team tactics. It is a great way for young people to learn the game in a safe and educational setting. Another benefit of the Dodge Caravan Kids program is how it allows for coaches, players, and their families to get involved in their local community while having fun. Since the program's inception, FCA Canada Inc. and participating Chrysler, Dodge, Fiat, Jeep, and Ram retailers across our great country have donated over $7 million to close to 14,000 teams and 210,000 kids.
As if that wasn't enough, the Dodge Caravan Kids program is also sponsoring the Breakaway Giveaway. This contest will give away $5,000 to a local minor hockey association and a brand-new 2017 Chrysler Pacifica to the winning family. The contest closes April 11, 2017; so enter today for your chance to win!
For the entire Caledon Chrysler family, giving back to our local community is a major part of who we are as a company. To learn more about how you can get involved in our other charity efforts, please visit the Caledon Chrysler website today.
